Service: Together with Blossom House

NYPO members work independently or in partnership with other agencies to develop projects, products and publications that support the group's mission. NYPO members have organised and taken part in activities to work with and support community agencies, including SCASS (Specialiased Care and Support Services) at Blossom House.. |
Learning: Courses and Workshops
 |
NYPO works with Netstorms Ltd and other community and local authority partners to develop and run courses and workshops that complement learning in school; enabling young people to access a broader and deeper curriculum. Courses and workshops planned for summer 2011 include Computer Maintenance, Website Design, Computer Graphics, Animation, and Video. |
Learning: Member Portfolios

NYPO Netstorms is developing a system for archiving the work of young people who take part in courses, workshops and other activities through member portfolios and through blogs for projects and curriculum areas.

Challenge: The Duke of Edinburgh Awards

NYPO supports members taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award as this award also emphasises the importance of service, learning and challenge. |
Journalism: Carbolic and the Hyperzine
 |
NYPO working with Netstorms Ltd, plans to develop a partnership with Carbolic Magazine which now has a website at carboliconline.org. Carbolic is a print magazine by young people that is supported by Lister School and NewVIC. There is an archive of past issues at the website. |
Community Action: The Young Stars
 |
Young Stars is a new project supported by REIN (Rights and Equalities in Newham) through its youth club 'The Mix'. Project members are on a mission to eliminate violence and fear of violence among young people in Newham; they plan to do this through their multimedia peace blog, through designing peace products and through a major peace event planned for 11th November 2011. |
